WARNING - IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
An electrical fault has been discovered in B&Q's Mains Indoor 50 Marble lights in clear, red or green. No other Christmas lights in the B&Q range are affected.
The lights which retailed for £14.99 have been removed from all of the B&Q stores across UK and Ireland. A spokeswoman for the chain said no incidents had been reported but urged 237 customers who purchased the sets to return them.
A statement from B&Q said: "Despite rigorous quality control procedures, it has been brought to our attention that an inconsistent manufacturing defect makes the Indoor 50 Marble lights unsafe for use."
Customers wishing to confirm they own the B&Q Mains Indoor 50 Marble lights should visit www.diy.com or call 0800 389 0419 (UK) or 1 800 946 327 (Ireland).
